Orbital Rhapsody is a spatial study derived from the movement of a mechanical scraper. Its shifting positions, forces, and orbital trajectory were documented through drawing and photography, then abstracted through collage into a new formal language. These studies were translated into three dimensions through iterative model-making, producing a composition organized around a central point of orbit.
The final spatial composition was determined through model making. Decisions, such as form and sizing were determined while making casting formwork for the plaster model.
